I think of I’ll the greenhouse ‘stuff’ we’ve done this year I’m most pleased with how the tomatoes have done. Since we don’t heat the greenhouse we just use a small heat mat to germinate seeds and use a couple of layers of poly to insulate our cold sensitive plants. I wasn’t sure how warm weather plants would do on cold spring nights so …I’ve been really excited with the how the toms are doing. We planted these in early april which is much later than most people and the results have been great! Not having to fight the low light and cold months of feb and march make for a healthy, stocky plant that is already acclimated to semi-cold nights and is not root bound. Since the roots aren’t circling the pot these plants are growing like weeds right now and should continue to grow quickly once we get them transplanted.

Until then we are doing some inside projects. We are building harvest crates, a drip tape winder, bed markers, and are continuing to dial in our greenhouse organization.
